The application process is as follows:

Stage 1:

1. Complete and submit this application with all supporting documents (see below for details).

2. After submitting this application an email will be sent with a link to a Medical Form. This needs to be completed as soon as possible as it will be reviewed as part of the application.

3. Once all supporting documents are received the application will be reviewed.

Staged 2:

1. Phone interview with the course convener/trainer - references identified during the interview can be contacted.

2. Successful applicants will be sent a Letter of Offer.

You may be requested to complete a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy assessment as part of your application process if this is the case you will be emailed a link.

Supporting Documents to be completed and uploaded:

You will need to upload the following documents on page 6, we recommend finding/completing/scanning them first before starting the application - ensure that all documents are either pdf, png or jpeg:

1. Photo Identification (eg: driver's license or passport)

2. Evidence of Australian Citizenship (eg: passport, birth certificate or, Australian citizenship certificate)

3. Evidence of highest completed qualification - High School Certificate (HSC) or any other qualification (e.g. Certificate III or higher) transcript

4. Activity Logbook - only complete if you have prior experience in outdoor recreation experience (formal or informal e.g. bushwalking, abseiling, climbing, canoeing, kayaking, etc). 5. If applying for credit transfer, provide a copy of your relevant transcript

If any part of the application is found to contain falsified information, you risk your application being denied, Letter of Offer being withdrawn or your removal from the course.

Physical Requirements Reminder:

Students should be able to meet the physical requirements of activities included in the course, this means participating in trips that include hiking, camping, and sleeping outdoors with limited assistance. Students should be able to carry their own pack, be comfortable with heights and being away from home, able to camp in remote locations, and be able to undertake physically demanding activities working in small groups.
