The application process is as follows:
Stage 1:
1. Select the course that you would like to apply for - Intake 1 or Intake 2
2. Complete and submit this application with all supporting documents (see below for details).
3. Once all supporting documents are received, the application will be reviewed.
Staged 2:
1. You will be required to complete a medical form; this will assist us if an incident occurs during off-site excursions or work placements.
2. You will be required to complete a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment as part of your application process - the link will be emailed to you.
3. Depending on the result of your LLN assessment or other information provided in your application, a phone interview with the course convener/trainer may be required.
4. Successful applicants will be sent a Letter of Offer.
Supporting Documents to be completed and uploaded:
You will need to upload the following documents on page 6; we recommend finding/completing/scanning them first before starting the application:
1. Photo Identification (eg, driver's license or passport)
2. Evidence of highest completed qualification - High School Certificate (HSC) or any other qualification (e.g. Certificate II or higher)
3. If applying for credit transfer, provide a copy of your relevant transcript
If any part of the application is found to contain falsified information, you risk your application being denied, Letter of Offer being withdrawn or your removal from the course.
Physical Requirements Reminder:
Individual support workers often perform physical tasks as part of their job role. Learners will need a reasonable level of fitness to assist clients with mobility issues, to stand and walk for long periods, frequent bending over, and to use PPE as required.
